Could you tell me the approximate flow of creating new dolls, from the design to the completion?

There are two cases. The first case is when the artist express the image or concept he or she wants to create with the doll. In this case, the artist designs everything with own concept and works on prototype. Consult with the makeup artist, make own design and give orders to the costume designer.

The second case is the case of working with using the company or client's design, and in this case, concept designers, prototype artists, makeup artists, and costume designers collaborate and create one work through consultation with each other

This is a question to the sculptor, but please let me know if there is anything insist on when making the head part.

Well, the answer to this question will be different by the artists. Because they each has a different style, some people insist on character-style prototypes, while others prefer realistic dolls. This is expressed in each person's stubbornness in the prototype works.

Each staffs has their own favorite artists, but we like contemporary art sculptors active these days.

What is the hardest thing to do when you make a doll?

It's a sanding work that called sandpaper operations. It's a hard and tedious task, but this task decides the finishing quality of the doll.

The RSDOLL's prototype team, Raurencio Studio, has been working on ball jointed dolls' prototypes for more than 15 years, but there was no opportunity to directly introduce us because we have been working on making prototype to other Korean doll companies. Since a few years ago, we have been making our own dolls along working other company's prototypes. Also, we are collaborating with other companies in various ways.

In return for the users’ interest and love on us, we will work harder to make better dolls by concentrating more on doll work. And we will communicate with users and actively reflect your opinions. Also, if there is an opportunity, I hope to participate in doll events in various countries and have a fan events too.

We would like to express our love to everyone who likes RSDOLL/ Raurencio studio.
